Two keyboards sit here: one for playing, one for typing. Type a few things into the computer keyboard, and an AI writes a splendid text introducing you. The digital piano on the other side, whichever key you press, plays a random note that has nothing to do with the one you played. Move freely between these two devices, which give back what you hand them, one more plausibly, the other entirely unpredictably.

There are no speakers in sight. Surface transducers, devices that transmit vibration to a surface so that sound is produced through another object, have been installed here, turning the table and everything on it into one giant speaker. Today, too, stray notes and prayers resound through the altar, and if you lay both hands on it, the trembling passes straight into your fingertips.
